Here are the CCJM Consulting Ltd FB Live interview Q&A with Maria Zdravkova of Money-Chats.com :

1. How & why you got into business finance planning / portfolio management ?
I love money – money is freedom, ability to focus on what’s important and not bother with issues that can be solved with money.
The personal finance for women came as an interest based on personal experience, and then the need for small business finance education was obvious.
  1. A piece of advice you would like to share with startup community - something you wish you had been told years ago about business finance !
Know your market, do your research and plan for it financially. Be aware of your environment.

Know how to read financials and understand your own. You don’t have to be     an accountant, but understanding your business’ financials is crucial for planning ahead and managing cash

  1. A finance business related favorite quote (if you have one) and why?
Cash is King – cash flow and revenue not the same. Important differentiation. Businesses failed, not enough cash to finance fast growth.
  1. The thing you love most about what you do and why?
The 2 important things – health and money. It’s good to be able to help people understand about the second.
  1. What do you do to stay motivated doing what you do?
No need to do much - the society we live in so many things have been normalized by culture but that doesn’t make them right. See so much social pressure on women or the financial cost of being a woman and that keeps me motivated.
  1. Business finance planning Biz Tip number 1
Understand your Income statement – difference between revenue, gross profit, net profit on which number tax is paid and so on.
  1. Business finance planning Biz Tip number 2
Understand cash flows and difference to revenue, sources of cash vs. uses of cash.
  1. Business finance planning Biz Tip number 3
Use the above understandings to plan, to model.
If you want to sell your business one day, valuation will be based on these financials and the estimates for your future ones.

What is the difference between a blog and a newsletter? Blogging and newsletters are two effective online marketing tools that business owners can use to reach out to their audiences. In this blog post, we will explore the differences between blogs and newsletters and discuss which one is right for your business.  Blogs are generally used to share longer pieces of content, while newsletters typically contain shorter, more curated pieces of information. To recap: 1. Newsletters are typically sent out monthly or bi-monthly, while blogs are updated more frequently 2. Newsletters usually contain

Information and Liability Release Form

With a lot of you Small Business Owners and entrepreneurs taking your classes / services online, you need to think of the privacy and data collection side of your business.   An activity or service provider provider might ask participants to sign this type of release before they engage in the activity or event. By signing the release, participants acknowledge the potential for property loss or personal injury as a result of the activity, and agree not to hold the activity provider liable in the event of a dispute. In general, a Release of Liability is a legally binding contract in which one or two parties in the agreement waive their right to sue.  We have put together - to the best of our knowledge - this Participant Information and Liability Release for all of you startup entrepreneurs and small business owners to create yours from. -------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------  Feel free to customize it  for your business delivery sessions  as you
