Two work habits that will help you be more productive working from home.

Discover how having clear boundaries & daily routine will help you stay healthy physically, healthy mentally, focused, confident, happy and super productive!

The excitement of working from home has somewhat now lost its aspect of fun and excitement for a lot of lockdown & shielded workers...As it's not the first lockdown in the UK, it is now the third one, you probably have experienced some of the disadvantages of working from home such as: family interruptions, lack of work/life time boundaries, internet browsing distractions, back/neck pain from too long hours sitting in the wrong positions, isolations to name a few..

But here is the chance to finally get this right!

1-Clear Boundaries

Yes you might be working from home BUT this does not mean that you are available ALL the time! So let's make some positive changes this time! The first thing is to establish CLEAR boundaries with your work schedule:

You are working from day X - day Y from time xx:xx to xx:xx closed on xx for example something like this

This will allow your client / customers / co-workers / collaborators, family & friends to know without any confusion WHEN they can or cannot contact you for work. You will be able to focus on your work and be more productive!

Also remember to be clear on HOW they can reach you. If you can: have 2 seperate phones. If you do not have this luxury don't be scared to put your mobile on airplane mode when you are not available outside of your working hours.

Make sure you have a daily schedule that will help you have a daily routine and in turn help you stay healthy physically and mentally, focused! confident! happy and super productive!

2- Make sure you have a morning & evening routine!

Establish a morning routine. Anything from a 1min routine to an hour ...or doing a number of things in the same sequence of events will help you feel in control and successful - as you tick these off your list - physically on a checklist - or in your mind. It will set the tone of your work day. If you have to go to bed earlier in order to wake up earlier. If you want to learn more about this you can read

Don't underestimate the power of a morning routine! Try it out for a week - we guarantee it will help you feel more empowered and clear minded, ready to be a fearless startup entrepreneur or a limitless small business owner!
  • In the evening: take some time to get an overview of the day: What have you achieved today?
  • What do you need to change to make tomorrow more successful and get you closer to achieving your goals tomorrow?
Make some notes mentally or in writing and adjust your daily work tasks for the following day.

Taking lunch and dinner breaks is also something not to overlook for your mental wellbeing: in addition to adding structure to your day's work, it allows you to "switch off" and energize for better productivity post lunch break.

Make use of breaks or mini breaks from your work to incorporate some of your daily wellness todos such as drinking your 2 liter a day or exercising 1 hour a day. Also remember to incorporate some outdoors breaks too for some fresh air exercise time!

These two habits should help you take control and be a rockstar startup entrepreneur or small business owner working from home! And like with every new habits - it takes time and practise to get there...so don't give up if you don't get it right the first time!

#hashtag and @tag

Are you confused between #hastag or @tags ? Here is some clarifications: On Facebook, Instagram and Twitter , the pound sign (or hash) turns any word or group of words that directly follow it into a searchable link.  This allows you to organise content and track discussion topics based on those keywords. So, if you wanted to post about social media for example, you would include #socialmedia  in your post to join the conversation.  You can click on a hashtag to see all the posts that mention the subject in real time. @Tagging people in social media photos can extend the reach of those photos, which is likely why some of us want to tag everyone and their brother – so to speak.  !!! But be careful with tagging people who are not actually in the photo. It could be considered spam or at least annoying. !!! only tag people in photos – no matter the network (Instagram, Facebook and Twitter all allow it) – when people are actually in them. Hope these clarifications help 😎😎😎 Keep it real !
